Three engineering programs at Michigan Technological University have been ranked among the best in the nation and tops in Michigan.
College Factual, a website offering advice to prospective college students and their families, has ranked Michigan Tech’s chemical, civil and environmental engineering programs among America’s best. College Factual ranks programs offered by four-year U.S. colleges and universities and recently updated its 2018 rankings.
College Factual has ranked Tech’s civil engineering program No. 30 out of 209 programs nationwide, making it one of the top programs in the U.S. to study civil engineering. This is an improvement of three positions over the previous year’s ranking of No. 33. In addition, College Factual ranked Tech’s civil engineering program first among the six programs in Michigan. This is the second straight year the program has been ranked best in Michigan.

College Factual ranks Michigan Tech’s environmental engineering program as a top-10 program nationwide. The site ranked Tech’s program No. 7 of the top 46 it rated in America and Michigan’s top program.
