Michigan Tech ranked number two in the state for early and mid-career salaries of graduates, according to a 2017-2018 report released by the website Payscale.com.
Early career salaries of Tech graduates averaged $63,000 and mid-career salaries averaged $107,500.
The only school with higher average salaries was Kettering University, a private university in Flint.
Michigan Tech was number one in the state in percentage of STEM degrees, with 77 percent.
Payscale.com compiles its College Salary Report to determine which Michigan schools produce alumni with successful careers. The data used in the report is collected through Payscale's ongoing, online compensation survey. The sample considered for the 2017 - 2018 College Salary report was 2.3 million college graduates.
