21 Michigan Tech students (20 CEE and 1 ME) traveled to Panama for 2 weeks as part of the Civil and Environmental Engineering International Senior Design program. Partnering with U.S. Peace Corps Volunteers, the students split into five teams and collected data for four community water supply systems and one footbridge in indigenous communities lacking this basic infrastructure. Students will use the data in their senior design projects this fall, completing design reports that will be sent back to community leaders and the Peace Corps Volunteers for implementation.
